Kibò Farm, Sicily
An independent, family-owned and operated organic farm which has been in the Di Salvo family for four generations. Accommodation is original and rustic, with thick stone walls, traditional wooden roof beams, and hand-laid plaster. It features two private, eco-cottages catering for 6/7 or 4/6 people respectively. The Di Salvo family run all aspects of the farm from pruning trees to creating product designs, and follow a green ethos in business and in life.  They have a firm belief that nothing should be wasted and a natural balance with your environment must be maintained.  They offer organic cooking courses, organic gardening courses, textile design courses (great for those who might want to make their own clothes), and watercolor for those who want to capture the beauty and experience on canvas. Photo copyright of Kibo Farm.
Lavanda Blu, Le Marcheé -
Agriturismo apartments or bed and breakfast on a small restored organic farm that produces lavender and olive oil. Located just twenty minutes from the beach and close to the beautiful art cities of Fermo and Ascoli Piceno, the farm is set on a panoramic hillside overlooking a peaceful valley with a view of the Sibillini Mountains. Owners Hans and Elisabetta Hans are working hard to have a minimum impact on the environment, and work closely with other people in the area on environmental issues, supporting the local economy, promoting local traditional and organic products. The farm is run on sustainable agriculture principles, using the leftovers from olive oil production for heating and harvesting precious rainwater.
La Lucertola, Tuscany -
Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, a choice of two farmhouses around a shared swimming pool, and enjoying spectacular views over Pisa. They aim to reduce their carbon footprint with electricity from solar power, collection of rainwater for irrigation, wood-fuelled heating and recycling. The owners also offer guests free organic fruits, vegetables and herbs from their own land, according to what is in season.
Locanda della Valle Nuova, Urbino

A charming country house in a 185-acre organic farm set in in a landscape of rolling hills, rich in wild flora and fauna, and protected ancient oakland. They grow their own wheat, fruit and vegetables and raise cattle, pigs and poultry with 100 per cent natural feed. They make our own bread and pasta, jams and wine, and in autumn there are truffles from the woods.Guests can swim in a solar powered pool.
Poderi Archangelo, Sienna, Tuscany -
Four farmhouses on an organic farm in a small Tuscan village. The farm is strictly organic, producing DOCG Chianti and high quality extra virgin olive oil. The houses are all beautifully restored and enjoy shared pools.
